Website Security
MangoMaya Ltd. takes our customer's security very seriously. We processes payments via our web host provider, EKMpowerShop who apply stringent controls over the payment method:
- All credit/debit card details and payment information is kept safe and secure by locked down transaction servers, which are protected by several hardware firewalls.
- Our payment pages are protected by 128-bit (commercial grade) secure server encryption.
- The payment server is Certified and Signed by a Public Key (digital) Certificate supplied by GeoTrust, on of the world's major certification companies.
- The Digital (or Public Key) Certificate s an electronic document which uses a digital signature to bind together a public key with an identity — information such as the name of an organization, their address, etc. The certificate can be used to verify that its Public Key belongs to that specific organization and not an impostor (i.e. rogue) website.
- GeoTrust's Certificates use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for Transport Layer Security, with between 40-bit to 256-bit encryption. This website uses 128-bit encryption. For further information on this please see this link.
- This security can be verified once the client reaches the cart stage at point of purchase. The 'Padlock' symbol means that the site is safe for the entry of critical financial data:
![]()
- Once the financial data has been entered, it is encrypted with the Certification Authority (GeoTrust) Public Key to the designated (i.e. 128-bit) standard and transmitted for verification to the servers of the Card Issuing Authority (a bank, or a credit card company). No-one can read this data while in transit.
- Once the financial data has been verified (or otherwise), the Card Issuing Authority issues its approval/rejection back to the originating webpage (in this case ekmpowershop) and the financial transaction will have completed.
- The client is then returned back to the Seller's website (Furntiture-base.co.uk).
